Dr. Taylor entered private practice in Santa Cruz in 1987 at "Back to Basics" Chiropractic on 7th Avenue next to the Harbor Cafe. At the time, the practice was nearly an all-pediatrics practice. As years went by, the practice evolved into a family practice. The name and location changed to Live Oak Chiropractic in 1995 and she has remained at this location since.
She volunteer teaches at several chiropractic colleges in the USA as well as in Europe. She is currently the Executive Director of the Gonstead Clinical Studies Society.
Dr. Taylor is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. She attained her BS from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her MS from San Jose State University. She graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in 1986 with the degree, Doctor of Chiropractic (DC).
She has attained the status of "Diplomate" of the Gonstead Clinical Studies Society and currently serves as the Executive Director of that non-profit organization.
She is an avid sports fan, particularly of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball and NHL Hockey. She enjoys traveling, walking, camping, kayaking, bike riding and music.
"I have been to chiropractors all over this country. Dr. Jeanne Taylor is the absolute best, most talented, and caring chiropractor I have ever been to. You have to try her. I have been using her services since 1997, have lived in two places since then, and currently live in Louisiana. I return to Santa Cruz twice a year for family and every time I am there I always schedule an appointment. She always leaves me feeling so much better. No matter where I live in this country I will always come back to Dr. Jeanne for my adjustments!"
"This is a family practice - dedicated to improving the health and spines of patients aged 1 hour to 100 years old!
We have had success with helping patients with sciatic pain, disc problems, radicular pain, headaches, etc.
You haven't tried everything until you've experienced specific chiropractic adjusting. Call for a free consultation and initial exam."

Gonstead procedures are the result of extensive clinical research by Clarence S. Gonstead, founder of the world-famous Gonstead Clinic of Chiropractic in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin and his associates.
Doctor Gonstead’s fifty-five years of continuous practice and over four million chiropractic adjustments resulted in the most complete method of biomechanical analysis available for use by today’s doctors of chiropractic.
So why don’t all chiropractors use this technique? Because the analysis takes more time and mastering the art of delivering a specific adjustment takes a LOT of practice and dedication.
Until now, you may have thought that all chiropractors “do the same thing” and “adjust the same way.” The fact is, it just isn’t so! But you need to know why!
